An AP story reports that Superintendent Janet Barresi has spoken to Attorney General Scott Pruitt about possible open meeting violations by members of the State Board of Education at the last meeting.
The most interesting comment in the story is from board member Tim Gilpin. Gilpin is quoted as saying “everyone needs to take a deep breath, cool down ... and move forward to bigger, more important things.” This is sage advice coming from the guy who apparently instigated the spit-flecked vitriol at the last board meeting. It's fine for him to loudly accuse someone else of wrongdoing in public but when the same is done to him he wants everyone to take a deep breath. I hope he's not waiting on everyone to hyperventilate.
